Rite Aid relocated to a larger facility to accommodate new stores. We designed the layout and material handling systems, including 5 pick modules. Two modules are for case picking, and three are for unit picking into totes. Conveyors facilitate picking and transport to shipping. A high-speed sorter totes and cartons for loading onto trucks.
The new facility's storage and picking setup also includes pallet rack and pallet flow rack systems. These systems provide efficient storage and retrieval of palletized goods. Pallets are easily accessed and moved within the facility, ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. The combination of pick modules, conveyors, and storage solutions optimizes Rite Aid's ability to serve its expanding network of stores effectively.
When it opened this facility was the largest of all the Rite Aid regional distribution centers and served more stores than any other. It also had the highest productivity and the best order accuracy!
